Operator mocked dying woman’s call

French prosecutors are looking into the death of a woman hours after her emergency call was mocked by an operator, prompting a public outcry.

Naomi Musenga, 22, from Strasbourg, called for help on Dec 29 complaining of severe stomach pains, saying: “It hurts all over… I’m going to die...”

In a recording of the emergency call obtained by her family, the operator was heard to reply: “You’re going to die, certainly, one day, just like everyone else.”

She then told the victim to call a doctor.
