Cyclist crosses Europe in record 24 days
A British man has broken the record for cycling unsupported across Europe in less than 25 days.
Sean Conway, 37, didn’t change clothes for 24 days, 18 hours and 39 minutes as he cycled 4,000 miles through nine countries.
Conway, from the Lake District, averaged 165 miles a day and slept in drains en route to Ufa in Russia from Portugal’s coast.
“I managed to shower five times,” he said.
