The Cheltenham Congress has taken place at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel, Brockworth, Gloucestershire, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent. The main events were the Swiss Pairs and Swiss Teams, each featuring 7 rounds of 7-board matches, and the winners are as follows:

Pairs: 1st Gillian Toogood and Wendy Miller, 108 VPS; 2nd Peter Waggett and Mark Rogers, 107 VPS; 3rd Jackie Davies and Ian Kemp, 101 VPS; 4th Russell Dalgleish and Roger Fellow, 100 VPS; and 5th= Bryony Youngs and Diana Nettleton 99 VPS; 5th= Alan Patel and Roger Harris, 99 VPS.
