Number of ebay millionaires in UK hits 1,000
THE number of self-made millionaires selling goods on ebay has hit 1,000 for the first time in Britain.
So-called ebay millionaire numbers have increased by 300 in the past year, a study shows, meaning there are now more than 1,000 in the UK.
The list of top businesses include sellers of home furniture and DIY, car parts, clothes and computers.
Rob Hattrell, of ebay, said: “Around 23 million Brits continue to visit us every week and it’s no surprise that the nimble small businesses … are flourishing.” An ebay millionaire is defined as a British registered business on ebay. co.uk with an annual turnover of £1million or more. Mark Radcliffe, 38, became the UK’S first ebay millionaire at 30 after he set up First2save, a mobile phone accessories business.
