Nurse killed as digger tips over in garden

♦ A mother-of-four was crushed to death by a digger truck that she was using to renovate the garden of her mother-in-law, who lived next door.

Bridget Curley, 36, a nurse, had been moving earth to build a ramp for the property when the machinery tipped over and landed on top of her. Paramedics were called to the house in north-west London on Monday morning, but Mrs Curley was pronounced dead at the scene.

A relative of her husband told the London’s Evening Standard: “She had a great personality. We are devastated. Her husband is in total shock.”
