French cheese recalled after toddlers get E.coli

-

French authorities have recalled all reblochon cheeses made by a site in eastern France after seven children were admitted to hospital with E.coli infections traced to a producer.

The victims were aged from 18 months to three years old, and one remains in hospital.

All had eaten reblochon – a raw-milk semi-soft cheese from Haute-savoie – made by the Chabert producer at its site in Cruseilles. Alongside the recall, authorities have advised parents not to give children any cheese made from raw milk.
