The President of the Republic of Turkey and Mrs Erdoğan visited The Queen today.

Mr Paul Muldoon was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty presented him with The Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry.

The Poet Laureate (Professor Dame Carol Ann Duffy) was present.

The Queen gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York and The Earl and Countess of Wessex were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Bands of the Irish Guards and The Royal Logistic Corps played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, Business in the Community, this afternoon held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting for Waitrose Duchy Organic.

The Prince of Wales, President, Victoria Cross and George Cross Associatio­n, and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Reunion Service in the Church of St Martin-in-the-fields, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, followed by a Reception at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, Patron, this afternoon visited the Restorativ­e Justice Council’s Make Amends Justice Service, Endeavour House, 228 Union Street, Torquay, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).

Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry’s Derriford Research Facility, Research Way, Plymouth Science Park, Derriford, Plymouth, Devon.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Habitat for Humanity, this morning received Mr Tum Kazunga upon assuming his appointmen­t as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Ian Whitehead (Chairman) was present.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Sir Malcolm Ross (Lord Prior) and Vice Admiral Sir Paul Lambert (Secretary General).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Academy Schools, later attended a Preview of the New Royal Academy of Arts at Burlington Gardens, London W1.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon officially opened Springfiel­d Primary School Nursery, Nursery Road, Sunburyon-thames, and was received by Mr Richard Whittingto­n (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Music in Hospitals and Care, afterwards visited Sherwood House Care Home, 40 Severn Drive, Walton-on-thames, to celebrate the Seventieth Anniversar­y of Music in Hospitals and Care, and was received by Mr Martin Gerrard (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institutio­n, this morning visited the All-weather Lifeboat Centre, West Quay Road, Poole, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Dorset (Mr Angus Campbell).

His Royal Highness this afternoon officially opened BOFA Internatio­nal Limited’s Centre of Excellence, 21-22 Balena Close, Creekmore Industrial Estate, Poole.
