Corbyn blanks wedding but chats to Charles

Jeremy Corbyn will not watch the royal wedding, his spokesman has said, as it emerged he met Prince Charles yesterday for the first time.

It is understood that the Prince of Wales scheduled the discussion as part of his regular talks with politicians.

Mr Corbyn’s spokesman said the Labour leader would not watch the royal wedding live on Saturday because he is attending a conference on economics.

But the spokesman added: “There’s catch-up, isn’t there?”
