Swallows to follow
SIR – Please inform those in Devon and Cornwall that the swallows are on their way (Letters, May 16).

SIR – From yesterday’s letters to the editor I deduce that, as the swallows and martins have not yet arrived from the southern hemisphere, there have not been enough birds to eat the plague of insects complained about by readers on the same page. Chris Harding
