Wedding cake breaks tradition
The royal bakers revealed yesterday they will not be producing a traditional tiered wedding cake – and teased of a non-traditional unveiling on the day.
Claire Ptak, who owns Violet Bakery in London, said the layered lemon and elderflower cake will be in three parts of varying sizes.
Slices of the cake, complete with edible rose petals, will be served to the 600 guests at the reception in St George’s Hall after the ceremony.
