Today would have been the 65th birthday of the late Victoria Wood, who is so much missed. Thankfully her wonderful work lives on, and this programme – billed as “a shameless chance” to listen to her comedy and music, and laugh and laugh – is a glorious celebration of her gifts. Presented by comedy actress Rebecca Front, it’s based on Wood’s own cassette tape archives and diaries. Front describes Wood as a serious contender for “Britain’s best person ever”, and it’s hard to argue.
