Charities praise rising awareness

The seven charities chosen by the royal couple in lieu of wedding gifts have revealed the decision prompted “unprecedented” levels of donations spanning as far as Japan and Australia.

Scotty’s Little Soldiers, which supports children who have lost a parent while serving in the British Armed Forces, said: “We have been given attention from across the world, which for us is unheard of.”
