Republicans protest at costs

Republicans are to host a protest against taxpayers funding the royal wedding with the MP who mocked Prince George as its star.

Emma Dent Coad, Labour MP for Kensington, who has said the Royal family should pay for policing during the event, will today protest against the cost. The MP is joining the Republic campaign in London alongside Tommy Sheppard, the SNP MP, to promote a monarchy-free future.
