Diesel vehicles given petrol in station mix up

A fuel mix up at a service station meant thousands of diesel vehicles may have been wrongly filled with petrol.

The BP station at Reading Services on the M4 reportedly sold around 9,000 litres of fuel, and in a statement said it was “working with our customers”. The contamination was limited to an HGV tank.

The company said it encouraged “anyone who believes they may have been impacted to contact us directly.”
