Man arrested over widow’s murder

♦ Detectives investigating the murder of an 85-year-old widow in her own home yesterday arrested a 65-year-old local man.

The body of Rosina Coleman, a former seamstress, was discovered on Tuesday by a handyman in the bungalow in Romford, east London, where she had lived for 50 years. Her husband, Bill, died 11 years ago.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as blunt-force trauma to the head and neck, Scotland Yard said.
