Man charged as terror attack is foiled in France

-

Police in France have foiled a suspected terror attack and charged a man of Egyptian origin.

Earlier, Gérard Collomb, the French interior minister, said two men had been arrested for “preparing to commit an attack, with either explosives or ricin, this very powerful poison”. He told BFM TV that police identified the suspects while tracking extremist activity on social networks.

Later, legal sources said one of the men was released without charge.
