Grenfell Tower panels
SIR – The technical literature for Reynobond Pe-core aluminium panels, installed on Grenfell Tower, states that they should not be used above 50 feet (five storeys). Reynobond FR (fire-resistant) panels have no such restriction and should have been used.
What more needs to be said? What regulations are not “fit for purpose”? What systems need a “radical rethink”. What “ambiguities” are there? Why is there talk of banning products? PE panels are suitable for the intended purpose: petrol stations, shop fronts, three-storey buildings etc. Rod Broome
