Cash in hand

sir – To answer Sue Mcfadzean’s query (Letters, May 18), I have often found dropped £5 and £20 notes (never £10). I also find credit cards quite often.

My best find was £140, all cut neatly in half. I would love to know why.

Depending on where it is found, I think anything over £20 should be handed in. Elayne M Benjamin
