Easy Rider (1969)

Along with Bonnie and Clyde and The Graduate, Easy Rider helped to pave the way for films that challenged conventional Hollywood ideas. Made on a low-budget, this nihilistic tale of two disaffected bikers (played by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper) embracing the open road on their motorbikes has become synonymous with the Sixties counter-culture movement and is quite simply one of the greatest road movies ever made.
