Nuclear submarines face £6bn black hole
The Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine programme faces a potential £6billion funding gap over the next 10 years, with serious questions over whether the project can be delivered on time. The NAO’S report found a £2.9billion funding gap for the programme over the coming decade, even assuming the MOD delivers £3billion of planned savings.
