Trust’s best friend

SIR – I was delighted to read that the National Trust is to become dogfriendly (report, May 18). My wife and I will renew the membership we cancelled so many years ago.

We mean to visit Snowshill Manor in the Cotswolds next month. Will we see a sign reading “Dogs welcome” or one saying “Talk is cheap”? Julius Kosky
