BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 22nd

Mr Keith Sanderson was received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Member of the Royal Victorian Order.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointmen­t as Her Majesty’s Ambassador­s: Mr Michael Nevin (the Republic of Iceland) and Miss Thorda Abbott-watt (Turkmenist­an).

Mrs Nevin and Mr Reef Hogg were also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointmen­t as British High Commission­ers: Ms Melanie Hopkins (the Republic of Fiji) and Mr Stuart Gill (the Republic of Malta).

Mr Alessandro Truppia and Mrs Gill were also received by Her Majesty.

CLARENCE HOUSE May 22nd

The Prince of Wales, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, this morning received Mr Timothy Parker (Chairman) and Mrs Hilary Mcgrady (Directorge­neral).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon held a Reception in the garden of Buckingham Palace for The Prince of Wales’s patronages, Armed Forces affiliatio­ns and others involved in public service to mark His Royal Highness’s Seventieth Birthday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were present.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Band of the Welsh Guards played selections of music during the afternoon.

KENSINGTON PALACE May 22nd

The Duke of Cambridge this afternoon attended the Manchester Arena National Service of Commemorat­ion in Manchester Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

BUCKINGHAM PALACE May 22nd

The Duke of York, Patron, Royal College of Ophthalmol­ogists, this morning attended the Annual Congress at the Arena and Convention Centre, Kings Dock, Liverpool, and was received by Mr Mark Blundell (Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Merseyside).

His Royal Highness, Founder, Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, this afternoon presented Bronze Awards at Brine Leas School, Audlem Road, Nantwich, and was received by Mr David Briggs (Her Majesty’s Lordlieute­nant of Cheshire).

The Duke of York this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Hong Kong.

Mrs Amanda Thirsk and Miss Ayesha Bharmal are in attendance.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, this morning visited Hotel Parc Beaumont, Avenue Edouard VII, Pau, and Jeu de Paume du Parc Beaumont, Allée Alfred de Musset, Pau, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour.

The Earl of Wessex this evening arrived at Farnboroug­h Airport, Hampshire, from France.

Colonel Paul Arengo-jones was in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Accessible Oceans, this morning received Mr Geoffrey Holt (Founder) and Mr Ben Morton Wright (Fundraisin­g Director).

Her Royal Highness, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonweal­th Study Conference­s, later visited the Connection at St Martin-in-thefields, 12 Adelaide Street, London WC2.

The Princess Royal, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonweal­th Study Conference­s, this afternoon attended presentati­ons on flood resilience in London, onboard a Thames Clipper on the River Thames.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America and this afternoon arrived at Washington Dulles Internatio­nal Airport, Washington DC.

His Royal Highness, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this afternoon visited Mantle: Virginia India Tribute, Capitol Square, Richmond, Virginia.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this evening attended a Reception at the Executive Mansion, Capitol Square, Richmond.

His Royal Highness, Joint Patron, Thames Landscape Strategy, afterwards attended a Reception at the Virginia State Capitol, Virginia.

Lieutenant Colonel Alastair Todd is in attendance.
