School shooting victim gets burial in Pakistan

A 17-year-old Pakistani exchange student killed in a mass shooting at a Texas high school has been laid to rest in her hometown of Karachi.

Sabika Sheikh was among 10 students and staff shot dead last Friday at Santa Fe High School. Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, the alleged gunman, is being held on capital murder charges.

Abdul Aziz Sheikh, her tearful father, received the girl’s body at Karachi airport yesterday morning. He said he hoped her death would lead to stricter gun control regulations in the United States.
