No planes over France

SIR – When is France going to be called to account by Brussels for the chaos that air traffic control strikes cause to flights from EU member states flying across French air space?

Our Tui flight from Majorca was delayed for six hours and had to be rescheduled across Spain to Bilbao and thence across the Bay of Biscay and Dublin. This must result in a massive increase in fuel costs – to say nothing of the misery caused to passengers. Christopher Gleave
