Holy smoke! Your Batmobile’s on fire

A lorry transporting a dozen novelty cars including a Batmobile caught fire on the M4 – destroying a number of film replica vehicles.

Car Chase Heroes, a driving experience company that specialises in famous film cars and American muscle cars, said six vehicles, including a Knight Rider KITT replica, were damaged in the blaze near Bath, Somerset, on Wednesday night.

The truck was carrying cars including a Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, a Transformers Ford Mustang and Starsky and Hutch Ford Torino.

The company said the damage amounted to around £70,000 and the driver was unhurt.
