sir – From January 2020, the Persons with Reduced Mobility regulations will require all train lavatories to comply and be wheelchair accessible.

It has been reported that the cost of modifying the Class 150 Pacer trains (the unpopular railbuses) would be so great that the Welsh government has decided not to do so. There is no rule stating that a train must have a lavatory, so it is solving the problem by locking all the lavatory doors. Oliver Barratt
