SIR – The letter from John Roberts (May 25) on the merits of showers over baths emboldens me to ask your readers to help settle a family argument.

SIR – Reading a paperback in a nice warm bath carries its risks should one nod off, but any attempt to do the same in a shower is doomed to a very soggy failure.

This informatio­n would have been of more use to me if I wasn’t already wrinkly to start with.
