Storms disrupt Britain’s Got Talent semi-final

ITV’S coverage of last night’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final was disrupted after heavy rain and storms in London led to technical difficulties.

The show, which was taking place at Hammersmith Apollo, was replaced on screen for several minutes with a message saying: “We’re sorry for the disruption. We will return to normal programming shortly.”

When it returned after several minutes, presenter Declan Donnelly told viewers: “The weather here in London has caused a few technical difficulties.”

Footage from an earlier round of the ITV variety show was played when the glitch happened.
