Briton home after four years in Dubai hospital

A pensioner is back in the UK after more than four years in hospital in Dubai, where he fell ill on a business trip.

Malcolm Munroe, from Chorlton, Manchester, suffered a stroke in 2013. His return home was on hold while authorities in Dubai tried to chase him for debts related to his construction firm, which crashed due to his illness.

The issues have now been resolved and he is being treated at Salford Royal Hospital. “No matter how many times we say thank you it would never be enough to everybody who has helped to get our loving brother home to his beloved Manchester,” his sister Diane Kirkwood said.
