Bargain beer

SIR – You report (May 28) that the average price of a pint in London – £5.19 – is the dearest in the land.

I frequent my local in south London and pay £3.30 for real ale. I usually share my Telegraph with the landlord; however, he never got to see Monday’s copy. I don’t want him getting any ideas. Robert Sims
