If Brigitte is pregnant at 54… it’s not too late for Liz
Brigitte Nielsen is pregnant at 54. Of course she is – she is married for the fifth time, so it’s only fair that she has another baby to go with the four adult sons she previously notched up.
Now, I don’t really hold with having lots of babies by different fathers (or, indeed, vice versa) but then that’s because I’m in a drearily traditional mono-marriage and nobody else will have me.
Nielsen’s decision is unexpected but broody is as broody does. Just ask Liz Hurley, 52, who this week voiced regret that her 16-year-old son, Damian is an only child.
It’s impossible not to understand that note of melancholy in an otherwise picture-perfect life, although which of us hasn’t idly dreamed of swapping one of our brood for hot dog legs and a leopard print bikini bridge?
Oh, just me then.
Forget I said it. It’s a good job every baby is a unique blessing.
