Teenager killed in car horror ‘our little angel’

The family of a teenager who died after a car ploughed into pedestrians have paid tribute to their “amazing daughter, sister and girlfriend”.

Sophie Smith, 19, died on Friday, the day after the incident in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester, which also left six other people injured, including her boyfriend Jordan. Her family said: “Sophie was our little angel and loved by everyone who knew her.”

Scott Watkins, 24, from Salford, was today due to appear before Manchester magistrates accused of causing death and serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
