Guiding light

Opened in 1791, Happisburgh, near Cromer in Norfolk, is the only independently run lighthouse in the UK. It is currently being repainted with its iconic red and white hoops for the first time since 2009, and Peter Martin, lighthouse attendant, makes sure the lantern glass is in tiptop condition too.
