Stabbing victim is capital’s 74th murder

A man was stabbed to death near a north London Tube station in the latest murder in the capital.

The 35-year-old victim was stabbed close to a playground, where alleged drug dealing is said to take place in broad daylight, before he collapsed yards from Turnpike Lane station on Saturday night.

Scotland Yard is appealing for witnesses.

Police believe the man was fatally stabbed on Ducketts Common, near Turnpike Lane Station, where it is claimed men are “fight” and sell drugs yards from the playground everyday.

The latest violent death takes the capital’s murder tally this year to 74.
