Face-off

More than 60 men battled for the honours at the second annual Championship of Beards in Paris at the weekend. Competing across six categories – beards above and below 20cm (8in), Garibaldi, Verdi and freestyle beards, and moustaches – the entrants were judged by a panel of ‘experts’ including US freestyle champion Garry Faulkner.
