Training hairdressers to spot cancer

-

Hairdressers, beauticians and massage therapists have been called on to help fight skin cancer. A free, certified training scheme called Masced teaches them to spot skin lesions that could be cancerous. Skcin, the charity behind the programme, said it could especially help young people who were more likely to visit a hairdresser than a doctor. Melanoma is one of the most common cancers among 15- to 34-year-olds in the UK.
