Lawyer conned retired dungeon master
A former S&M dungeon master was tricked into thinking he had won a damages payout from Channel 4 by a crooked lawyer who stole almost £1.2million from clients.
Shaun O’driscoll – described in Bolton Crown Court as a “selfconfessed retired dungeon master” – was told by Andrew Davies, his lawyer, that he was in line for £710,000 compensation from the broadcaster following a contract dispute over a documentary called Me and My Slaves. The case was never pursued.
Davies, 34, who has since been struck off, was jailed for seven and a half years after pleading guilty to 43 fraud-related offences.
