Sir Alf ’s ’66 letter to be auctioned

Sir Alf Ramsey’s letter of appointment as manager of England’s 1966 world cup winning team is to be auctioned next week.

The letter, with a guide price of £1,000 to £1,500, will go under the hammer at Clarke and Simpson’s saleroom in Suffolk next Monday at 12pm, hours before England play their first 2018 World Cup game.
