An artist puts his own stamp on Charing Cross

SIR – In her interesting piece on the artist Robyn Denny (Arts, June 11), Lucy Davies did not mention that his ribbons of colour can be admired decorating Platform 5 at Embankment Underground station.

For those less fond of abstract art, in the neighbouring Charing Cross Underground station I can recommend the charming mural by that prolific designer of British stamps, David Gentleman.
