Taliban ends ceasefire

Afghanistan’s Taliban said it would renew its bloody insurgency today after a three-day ceasefire, quashing hopes the brief holiday truce would extend to a longer peace. The militant movement said that it had “no intention” of expanding its truce after the Eid al-fitr holiday.
