Unquestionably suited
SIR – Andrew Neil is the only person truly qualified to take over the chairmanship of Question Time (report, June 19).
His authoritative and successful admonishment of Harriet Harman during her incessant and selfimportant interrupting on his This Week programme puts him head and shoulders above the rest.
Bob Stebbings Chorleywood, Hertfordshire
SIR – There’s no question that Victoria Derbyshire would be a most suitable successor to David Dimbleby. She listens, engages, empathises and moderates the audience and panel expertly.
I will, however, miss Mr Dimbleby’s particular humour.
Denise Hilton Guildford, Surrey
SIR – How about the Speaker John Bercow for Question Time?
Two problems solved at a stroke.
