Police alerted over A-level maths exam internet leak
♦ One of the country’s biggest exam boards has launched an investigation after A-level maths questions were leaked online ahead of the exam.
Edexcel, which is owned by Pearson, is investigating allegations of “a limited breach of security” and said it had informed the police.
Roughly 50,000 candidates sat the exam yesterday.
The Metropolitan Police has been passed a file of evidence from Pearson, but has not yet launched a full investigation, The Daily Telegraph understands. A spokesman for Pearson said: “We have opened an investigation into whether there has been any exam malpractice.”
