Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are being recruited by a food giant to fight the rise of veganism among young Britons.
Food company ABP has signed a deal with Warner Bros to use the superheroes to promote burgers and sausages in supermarkets from today. Veganism is growing in popularity among younger people who are eschewing meat for moral and environmental reasons and meat firms are trying to find a way to fight back.
Kevin White, of The Grocer, said: “A tie-up between DC Comics and a red meat giant sounds a bit left field but they think they are on to a winner.”
