Drones banned from flying near Balmoral
The Queen has banned the flying of drones near Balmoral. The no-fly zone comes amid speculation that US President Donald Trump is to visit the monarch’s private estate next month.
However, the ban is all year round and restricts the flying of aerial devices within 1km (1,094 yards) of the castle.
The 50,000 acre estate attracts around 70,000 visitors between April and July, before it closes for the arrival of the Queen and other royals during the summer.
A spokesman for The Queen declined to comment on the drone ban at Balmoral.
