Timepiece of history

The pocket watch believed to have been carried by Lord Horatio Nelson during the Battle of Trafalgar is to go under the hammer at Sotheby’s. Now mounted in a gilt-brass carriage clock case, the watch is expected to fetch between £250,000 and £450,000 when it goes on sale in London on July 4.
