Ibiza plane grounded by ‘aggressive’ stag party

A flight to Ibiza was grounded in France due to a 27-strong stag party’s “appalling and aggressive behaviour”.

Jet2 said it had “no choice” but to land the flight from Birmingham in Toulouse, where it was met by police. Jet2 said the decision was made for safety reasons, adding: “The cumulative effect of consuming alcohol in the airport, as well as illicitly once on board, contributed to this behaviour.”

Phil Ward, managing director of the airline, said many of the crew had been left “extremely upset”.
