Security services obtain evidence he is plotting an attack in the UK.

Buys a set of knives from Ealing shop.

Ali’s mother dials 999 after finding knives in her son’s bedroom. Ali is not arrested but his mother asks him to leave the house. He buys more knives and heads to Westminster by Tube. He is arrested.
