SIR – Concern is growing over the impact of technology addiction on young minds (report, June 25).
One year, in my class of three-yearolds, I had a lovely girl who had almost no interpersonal skills.
Having excluded autism, hearing impairment and other obvious explanations, we then discovered that as soon as she got home from school she spent three hours in her room, alone on her computer.
We suggested her computer time be limited to 30 minutes a day, and that friends were invited round, or other activities planned. The difference in her positive interactions with peers at school was immediately noticeable. Bonnie Ham
