HRH The Duchess of Sussex

On June 13 we published an article headed “Magazine to use ‘provocative’ Meghan shots to contest payout over topless Kate photos”. The article stated that lawyers for Closer magazine would be using images of the Duchess of Sussex to support its claim that compensation awarded to the Duchess of Cambridge over publication of topless photographs should be reduced. We now accept that there was no reference to the Duchess of Sussex or any photographs of her in the proceedings in France. We apologise to the Duchess of Sussex for our error and for any distress caused.
