Michael Spencer invests in biometric fintech firm

Michael Spencer, the billionaire founder of broking giant Icap, has invested $14.2m (£10.8m) in financial technology business Veridium through his personal investment vehicle IPGL. Veridium is developing technology for biometric authentication, such as facial recognition and fingerprint scanning.
